ART AND CULTURE
Roxana Artacho and Hector Mata
Museum of Contemporary Art – LIMA, Peru 2016
The art installation “Separation” at the Museum of Contemporary Art refers to the divisions that opposed territories, races, languages and other geographic and mental demarcations offering the viewer a physical representation and an imaginary representation of “otherness”. The installation consists of two manifestations: the non-physical – referring to ideologies, and other mental constructs – is a video projected on the walls. And a clay sculpture, a real physical wall that divides the showroom into two spaces. Nawi Films provided the creative space for the artists to produce the installation with our expertise in video editing, camera operation and sound design.
